My wife and I have a debate going on at the moment. She believes that if we keep our plants in veg too long they will somehow get sick and die. Myself, I think they will just be fine no matter how long we keep them in veg. What's your opinion???

as long as you got the space they will be fine ive been vegging mine now for about 8 weeks and there huge lol also alot of growers keep mother plants for a very long in the vegging stage
Take good care of her and she will live for years.. Like kushcheese9 said many people keep their mother plants for a long time.
The main thing to think about is the final plant size. If you veg too long you might end up with buds growing into your light.
Your plant will double in size after flowering.
