How to quickly measure volumes of water?

Hey all!

How are people measuring large volumes of water?

I'm going to set up a 2' x 4' flood table and I want to use a 27 gallon tote for the reservoir.

I currently measure out each gallon for my kratky lettuce but that will be too cumbersome for a water change.

Is a dip stick or line drawn on the tote accurate enough? Does anyone use the cheap inline water meters?

Thanks!

That line will be "good enough", a phrase that was used so much at where I used to work to be our unofficial company motto.

Thanks!

I always liked "The enemy of good is better"
Nah, when it is your supervisor ( or even the location manager) who mutters that and when say it is the company motto they just grin and sigh in resignation knowing it is true.
