A Jackson medical marijuana dispensary raided last week by the Michigan State Police re-opened today.

Employees working inside HydroWorld, 834 N. West Ave., would not comment on Thursday's raid, saying only the store had re-opened and that their business follows the law.

HydroWorld stores in Lansing have not re-opened, said an employee at the Barnes Avenue location.

On Thursday, Michigan State Police working with the Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad executed search warrants at the Jackson and Lansing stores. Detective First Lt. Timothy Gill, commander of the Michigan State Police First District Drug Task Force Section, said a months-long investigation led police to believe the stores were selling marijuana to persons without patients cards and violating other laws.

Gill said Thursday the state police took no action that would bar the stores from re-opening. New information on the investigation will not be available for weeks.

Danny Trevino, who owns the chain of dispensaries, has not returned calls seeking comment and was not at the Jackson store Monday afternoon.
