i was going to use 3 1000 watt lights for my 40 plant grow in a 10x11 room but i read somewhere that under 2000 watt the police cant read IR so i was wondering will 2 1000 watt lights be enough for the 40 plants and will they still grow and bud as good with one minus light

Figure a minimum of 50 watts per sqft for veg and 70 for flower,
always worked for me

They can read IR if it gives off heat. More heat more IR. You could have 1 400 watt and they could still see it if you do not take the proper precautions and control the heat and insulate well. There are products available to block IR. I have not used them so can't speak on them I can only let you know that they exist.
