Investigators seized more than 1,000 marijuana plants worth about $1.2 million in one of the biggest seizures in the state's history, the attorney general's office said.

The 1,183 fully grown plants were seized from 21 patches in remote cornfields and state game lands in Crawford County, investigators said. Some plants were about 12 feet tall.

Authorities discovered a datebook documenting the patches after searching the home of Gary B. Coulter, 52, and his wife, Lisa D. Parker, 44, who were arrested Aug. 31.
