A Suffolk Superior Court judge overturned the Department of Public Health's decision to reject three applications for medical marijuana dispensaries in the eastern part of the state.

The Department of Public Health initially approved the applications for "Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts Inc," but the Department later informed the group led by former Massachusetts Congressman Bill Delahunt that those applications were "non-selected" or rejected.

The state rejected 9 of the 20 applications it initially approved due to misleading claims or allegations of hiding profits.

Another group led by Springfield's Herbie Flores was also rejected after initial approval. We spoke with the group's attorney who told the news they have yet to file any lawsuit against the department, but instead have filed paperwork with the department to reconsider their application.*edit* They are waiting on word from the Department of Public Health.
