TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Art Jones will close his medical marijuana dispensary in Garfield Township within 45 days.
That's because Jones and township officials on Monday agreed to settle a lengthy dispute over his pot shop, Green Things Plus LLC on South Airport Road.
But Jones said he won't give up on his mission to offer medical marijuana to local residents.
"It was just a big hassle," Jones said. "It's cheaper to move somewhere we're wanted."
Jones plans to look for a different local storefront. Jones said he would consider Traverse City, which, unlike Garfield and some other local communities, has no moratorium on dispensaries.
"I'm going to stay in town," he said.
