Euphoria Wellness has opened its doors for the public. Las Vegas' first medical marijuana dispensary is ready to go; it just needs the state to approve.
Patients and politicians got to step foot inside for the first time Tuesday at the location, 7780 S. Jones Blvd., to see how the business works and all the steps patients need to take to stay legal and stay secure.
It's a new world for many of the people who have been forced to buy their legal medication off the streets.
"It's strange to be able to walk in, have a selection, have quality, and walk out without getting arrested," said Raymond Scott.
So when will business start? That depends who you ask.
"We're probably looking at a good four months before it's available, probably August or September," said Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak.
"Well, should happen in the next couple weeks. We get closer and closer every week," said Darlene Purdy of Euphoria Wellness.
