A nonprofit group has applied to run a state-licensed medical marijuana distribution center in Plymouth.

Salem-based Sanctuary ATC has filed an application for an alternative treatment center.

New Hampshire passed a medical marijuana law in 2013, but hasn't installed any dispensaries.

The Tenney Mountain Highway property being considered for the dispensary is currently home to Adobe, which has been designing and building homes for more than two decades.

The nonprofit will be making the proposal to the town's board of selectmen on Aug. 17.

Four dispensaries will be allowed in the state, and dispensaries have also been proposed in Lebanon and Merrimack.
