Linda Horan — the New Hampshire union activist who sued the state to receive a medical marijuana ID card to begin treatment without fear of being arrested — will talk about her life, struggles, and previous battles in the political arena, on Friday in Concord.

The event, dubbed "Lindapalooza," will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at the IBEW Local 490 Union Hall, 48 Airport Road in Concord.

Originally, organizers had scheduled the talk for Saturday but due to the weather and her physical stamina, they re-scheduled the event.

Horan and others made national news last year when her successful legal actions forced the state to issue her a card so she could purchase marijuana in Maine. She suffers from state IV lung cancer. Even though New Hampshire's medical marijuana program was signed into law more than two years ago, no patients had been issued IDs until Horan sued to get access to one.
