As new legislation opens up markets for medical marijuana (MMJ) around the globe, Neutra Crop. (OTCBB: NTRR), a growing provider of all-natural wellness solutions, plans to make its MMJ initiative international in scope.

With nations such as Italy, Canada, the Czech Republic and more following the example of states such as California and Colorado by legalizing the use of medicinal cannabis, the global market for MMJ products and services is growing fast. The U.S. medical marijuana industry alone will gross about $1.5 billion in 2013, with revenue potentially rising to $6 billion by 2018, according to a new study released by MMJ Business Daily. Overseas markets could add untold billions to that figure.

NTRR is working to capitalize on the expected growth by helping to develop and market potentially lucrative new innovations in the processing and use of cannabis-derived nutraceutical treatments for a wide variety of illnesses. The company has founded a new subsidiary, Cannabis Technologies, Inc., to lead the charge into the MMJ industry, while the parent company pursues equally promising opportunities in other nutraceutical sectors.

Currently, the company is targeting emerging MMJ businesses for both acquisition and partnership. This week, the company's executive leadership will be in California to scout for potential targets in the region. A visit to Colorado is planned to follow.

Through its new Los Angeles-based MMJ subsidiary, Neutra Corp. plans to follow in the footsteps of other successful public companies, including Cannabis Science, Inc. (PINK: CBIS), Medical Marijuana Inc. (PINK: MJNA) and Terra Tech Corp. (PINK: TRTC), enabling technological advancements in the cultivation and processing of cannabis in approved markets.
