A Buffalo man was convicted of a sole charge of conspiracy to possess, with intent to distribute marijuana.

Arthur Clark, 29, was a courier for a commercial delivery service in the city when, between April and September of 2015, he conspired with five others to ship, receive and distribute more than 50 packages containing marijuana that had been transported from Denver, Colo., where marijuana sales and consumption are legal, according to the U.S. Attorney's office, .

After the marijuana was sold, the conspirators would send the cash proceeds from their drug sales back to their marijuana supply source in Denver. All of the other defendants in the case -- Damarcus Hennings, Shaquata Hennings, Dashawn Abrams, Shahana Beaver and Janice Humphrey -- pleaded guilty prior to trial, the U.S. Attorney's office said.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police.
