Two Oakland County men face were arraigned in district court Sunday on felony drug charges after law enforcement agents raided homes in Farmington Hills and West Bloomfield, resulting in the seizure of 70 pounds of marijuana and more than $33,000 in cash.

Jerry Jadan, 39, of West Bloomfield, and Randy Rabban, 39, of Farmington Hills, were charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and manufacturing of 5 to 45 kilograms of marijuana. They were arraigned in 47th District Court in Farmington Hills and released on $100,000 bonds. Each charge is punishable by seven years in prison and fines of up to $500,000.

A third man, Fred Jadan, 38, also of West Bloomfield, was charged with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine. He also posted bond and was released.

Farmington Hills Police Chief William Dwyer said Monday the seizure was the result of an investigation conducted by the South Oakland Narcotics Intelligence Consortium, which is made up of officers from Farmington Hills, Novi, West Bloomfield and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

"This is an outstanding example of cooperation across the full spectrum of law enforcement,'' Dwyer said Monday. SONIC officers also recovered several firearms.

"We are working with the DEA, and more arrests will be coming,'' Dwyer said. Police said information that lead to the arrest came from the DEA office in Wichita, Kan. "Here's a perfect example of drugs that came in out of state and were bound for communities in Oakland County," Dwyer added.
