I used the FF trio (Big Bloom/Grow Big/Tiger Bloom) for my first grow and yes I only fed with nutrients every other watering, the other watering I added 1 Tbsp/Gallon molasses which is more for the soil than the plants.

ahhhh I see. well that's what I am going to do. And the molasses should help with supplying sugar for the buds. am I right on that?

Yes and no. It is there really to feed the microbes living in the soil which in turn help convert nutrients into a form more readily metabolized by the plant. I'm sure that some of the sugar is taken in by the plants but the majority is consumed by those microbes.

hmmmm I had not even thought about the microbe aspect ! I do have some mol. though I guess I will be adding it next feeding thank you for the insight. I always used to give my mountain plants some sugar come budding time now that I think about it. I read somewhere that the plants convert sugar into "better bud" so I figured .....
