Questions on pruning

Will it hurt to trim off the larger 1st leaves that came from the stalk ,so the new branches can get more light.They have been in flowering 4 alittle over 3 wks.or should I have done this in the veg stage.Will the plant use 2 much energy 2 repair where I cut them ,or will it stunt them 4 sometime.The large leaves are dropping down to allow the new branches to come out.I intend on saving all my trim to try my hand at making a little hash.

Though it is better to do this during vegatation, the large fan leaves can be trimmed a couple each day so as to give the plant time to redistribute nutrients. it took me 4 days to trim all the stressed leaves. Do it all at once it may go into shock.

another option would just be clipping the leaves and not removing it entirely or just bend the leaves out of the way
