Commenters have had plenty to say on a story about a Norton Shores medical-marijuana cardholder charged with a felony after drug-enforcement police allegedly found nearly twice the allowable number of marijuana plants growing in his home.
Opinions about the bust, marijuana enforcement in general and Michigan's medical-marijuana law in particular varied widely.
Some commenters advocated legalization of marijuana and criticized those who oppose that. Here was commenter MKGirl's take:
unfortunately the type of people who are so opposed to legalizing marijuana are the same narrow minded individuals who do not support gay rights, women's rights, anything progressive whatsoever. its pretty clear this is a generational thing and much to their dismay (and however this situation will play out) the tide is turning- hope you're all ready!
