A group of health officials, state officials and cannabis industry members will meet Wednesday to debate how much THC should be in retail marijuana products. The agenda for the meeting at Children's Hospital says, "This work group meeting is being held as a preliminary discussion in advance of a formal rule-making process in order to discuss and consider reasonable amounts of active THC in retail marijuana products in proportion to product serving size." The Colorado Department of Revenue, Marijuana Enforcement Division, convened the group. The University of Colorado is conducting a survey to help the Marijuana Enforcement Division with its work. The survey asks people about their cannabis use and how they consume marijuana.

Lawmakers debating edibles
State lawmakers are debating whether to set restrictions on marijuana edibles in Colorado. The House has already approved bills setting possession limits for concentrated forms of marijuana such as hash oil and broadening a ban on certain types of edibles to include products that mimic other foods or candies. The bills now head to the Senate.

"...broadening a ban on certain types of edibles to include products that mimic other foods or candies."

Pills look a lot like candy, too. Are there laws banning pink, blue, or multi-colored pills?

Responsible adults keep pills (and alcohol and cigarettes) out of the reach of children. But we don't ban or put toxic symbols on these products.
