T-5 or 250watt mh for veg?

I am going to set up a veg room today. I want to know what you guys recomend for a light set up. I am going back and forth on what to get. I am looking at a 4' 6 or 8 bulb T-5 High output or a 250 watt MH. What would stay cooler in the veg room? I assume they must consume about the same amount of power. Any help or comments are appreciated.

Either work quite well. I use the T-5's myself. Low heat, low power usage. Just make sure to get the right color.
