BISMARCK, North Dakota – A group that funds developers of North Dakota farm products has awarded a total of $429,894 in grants to 10 projects.
The Agricultural Products Utilization Commission reviewed requests from 12 groups at its quarterly meeting. APUC is a part of the state Department of Commerce's economic development division.
Projects that received grants included the North Dakota State University Plant Science Department, which is getting $55,000 for work on industrial hemp production; and Tri County Development Corp. of Hannaford, which is getting $52,500 to help buy a New Jersey pasta company and move it to Hope.
