Whitehouse, Texas Man Loses Home For Growing Marijuana

TYLER TX — United States Attorney John L. Ratcliffe announced today that a 46-year-old Whitehouse, Texas man has been sentenced to six months in federal prison and ordered to forfeit his home for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.

CRAIG TIMOTHY KEE was sentenced today by United States District Judge Michael Schneider. Kee also agreed to the forfeiture of his Whitehouse, Texas residence.

According to information presented in court, in July 2007, law enforcement authorities seized 30 marijuana plants and four pounds of marijuana at Kee's residence located at 607 Partridge Lane in Whitehouse. He was indicted and charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana, maintaining a place to manufacture marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Kee pleaded guilty to the charges on September 19, 2007.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mary Ann Cozby.
