My first grow room

Nice Blog. I was expecting a journal type thread when I clicked on the link in your signature. why did you choose the blog route instead fo journal route? Is their a difference? Just curious?

There is a difference, I didn't think I could start a thread with less than 50 posts, so I went with a blog. When I do the grow it will be a proper thread format.

It's been a few days since I posted an update. I took some video, but my editing skills are pretty much nonexistent lol. But for now I will just explain where I'm at. I have the veg room completely drywalled. I have built and installed 1 of the 4 doors on the veg room as well. It's moving a little slower than I had hoped, was pretty busy this weekend with household duties so that didn't help the process. No help from the folks at Home Depot either loading all of that drywall either... So I only grabbed 10 sheets for now, and am burning through that pretty fast.

I planted my mother seeds a little over a week ago, critical and fruit spirit seeds. The critical is doing very well and I just repotted her into a normal pot from the little starter cube she was in. The fruit spirit had an issue where the seed cap did not come off, and I guess I waited too long for Mother Nature to take its course. So I performed so e surgery and removed the seed cap with some tweezers. In doing so I noticed a bunch of white gook under the leaf, I think it must have been the other peace side. So I removed that as well, breaking off the good leaf... Not good times!! She held in there for a couple of days then she shriveled up. So I popped another fruit spirit seed and threw her into a groan grow block. See if she does any better. She has not popped out yet, but should in a day or 2.

I only have fox farm ocean forest soil at the moment, just finding out that it is too hot for seedlings, so I need to grab some other soils and mix them up. But the critical mom doesn't seem to mind so far.

Fruit spirit lol, the names never cease to amaze me! I'll have to Google that strain sounds like a lot of work, its been a lil over a year since i Built my last grow room....only to have my job transfer me after it was finished Ahaha i have since switched to tents, i love them but i sure miss having a custom room! Anyway it will be done soon and we're all looking forward to this build. Props On starting the seedlings before room gets finished. kind of like instant gratification after the room is built to have plants already. And the dead seed well sometimes you have to chop one up to the game.

Here is the most recent pictures of my grow room. I decided to wait until I have at least the veg room done to do a video. I did make one but I gave up trying to edit it for now, and focus my time on the room itself.

In the 4'x4' ends I have 4 doors in each. That should provide plenty of access points to do any kind of maintenance in the rooms, scrog nets and such.

Nice Job Impressive planning and execution. When you say your doors, are those real doors your adding to each side? I'm in the planning stage for my first grow too. Im trying to figure out if i can make a 6 foot crawlspace workable if it is completely encapsulated.

Thanks for stopping byBuddyBuzzKill. As for doors, I made the doors out of 2x4's, they are real doors, Just DIY style. There are 4 doors in each 4x4 section, so that I can enter and work from any side. The doors are 34" x 75"
