DooM's Medical Grow - Dinamed CBD

Much appreciated, DooM. I was just reading about dinamed - i'm intrigue, despite its sativa-leaning pedigree, and its unwieldy size may be a detriment to my going with this strain. So what was the stretch like for dinamed? Keep us posted. Would be awesome if you can post up more pics. Thanks!

Heat problems with LED grow lighting - All brands discussion

It would... I could just glue a ducting flange and vent out the hot air from the top!

Heat problems with LED grow lighting - All brands discussion

Central air as cooling - That's a hidden cost right there. My point is that cool air is still a prerequisite for LED lights, more so for units with 5-watt diodes. These units cumulatively breathes hot air like a dragon on bhut jolokia. I was deluded into thinking that (5w) LEDs run cool - the...

Heat problems with LED grow lighting - All brands discussion

As an engineer, I'd worry about cooling the LEDs. I am not an E&E engineer. As a horti, all that I'm worried about is regulating the temperature in the grow environment. LED units, as they are, add heat to a room while making it costly to isolate the heat extraction without sacrificing...

3w or 5w diodes is the question

Thanks for the quick reply! My grow space within the tent is only actually 2x2, as i need the extra foot or so for the dehumidifier and all the other stuffs. Yeah, Ive noticed those threads, actually and they've certainly piqued my interest. Thanks again!

    5watt LED

I have purchased a 1200w mars2. the 5 watt LEDs run pretty hot. The heat sink and fans do a terrific job at cooling the electronics, but does not do much at maintaining an (already) high ambient temp. I won't be using it anymore, unfortunately. I am still struggling with heat, and it would be...

3w or 5w diodes is the question

Hi PlatinumLED, is it okay to hang the P150 12" above the canopy for a 2'x2' grow area? Im trying to contain humidity with a dehumidifier in a grow tent which is 2x4x5 in dimension. With ambient humidity at 70%RH at 82F, I figure it would be nice if your P150 doesn't emit much heat in order...

    Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Hey Sara, I received an ebay message which recommends a distance of 4' to 4.5' from the canopy for a Mars 2 1000W~1200w. A 78" (6.5') tent wouldn't leave much headroom, unless it's a very squat 1-foot plant? cheers.

Mauiwauiguy - White Widow x Bigbud Under LED - 2nd Grow

Hi Maui, They look awesome! What sort of distance do you keep your 1200w away from your plants? Have you noticed any signs of probable phototoxicity (bud-tip bleachings) so far? peace.

    Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Thanks for the reply, Hiker. Best if I rephrase my post: How hot is a 1200w unit, in relative HPS terms - does it prouce as much heat as a 250w, 400w, 600w or a 1000w HPS? thanks and regards

Thanks for that . Gorillas are a bit out of my budget, and they don't seem to reply to my emails. I guess a POS tent will do for me!

    Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

By the way, can anyone advice me which 4x4 tent has enough load bearing strength to handle the weight of the 1200 mars2 together with fan+filter at the roof? The "plug and grow" tent on ebay is very reasonably priced, but I'm not sure if it's strong enough for the job. Peace!

    Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Hi Sara, I'm at the planning stage right now, but I would like to know What sort of heat buildup that I can expect in a 1.2m x1.2m x2m grow tent from a 1200w mars2. I am worried about heat because I live in a hot climate (average room temperature is 30°C). I plan to AC the room where the...
