i might not be getting your point. sorry if i misinterpreted.
top quality hid is about 40% efficient. there are are a few comercially available led lamps that will outperform hid.
Most Diy led builds are brighter, cooler and more efficient than ANY comparable hid currently available and will...
Thanks again. I dont know if the efficiency can be reckoned from those data. I posted it over on you-know-where asking if it could be calculated. If i get info I'll post it over here. i think the spyder design with low current/voltage, passively cooled and spread out over a decent area is a...
those surexi diodes seem to have a good rep. would you know the lumen/ watt for those diodes?
Also i appreciate that the fixture is spread out. 36" is great for distribution.
500w lamps in 12" cases are ridiculous.
Bud get a clue. Do yo have enough bandwidth to open a pic? This forum is filled with successful led grows. the nug and plant contedts on 420 are loaded with wins from led growers.
Your opinion in theory could have merit but in fact it's ignorant blabbering. YOU ARE WITHOUT A CLUE.
Ice, thanks for your encouragement. Just as i suggested to GT, think about doing a DIY. It's not very expensive, great learning along the way and a super supportive network of DIYers. MOST IMPORTANTLY if you select the best stuff and have a good budget you can blow just about anything...
This study interestingly shows that led grown plants had higher brix than plants lit with other light sources.
Lettuce and cannabis though are pretty different crops!
"Anyone who is using LED's as their main lighting source will definitely lose out as LED's are not able to provide the necessary yield, potency and quality one is looking for"
You are mistaken bro. Hi performance leds are top choice for yield , quality and potency in small to medium sized...
i was thinking of some of the salts that are in my custom amendments. I am no expert in the organic approved arguments. I was thinking that calcium nitrate, maganese sulfate and copper sulfate, used in my broadcast, are technically synthetic. I guess the point is that some of the designations...
Since "organic" has become more of a political or commercial designation than a strict biological category the "organic" category is open to interprtation. A few straight up salts/synthetic chemicals are allowed under USDA. phosphoric acid too is allowed.

These ladies are in various iterations of HB soil. The Sugar Punch 15 gal was dropped into a hole carved out from a solid root mass. Destroyer in a fresh HB 5 gal. Those lil plants are in my recycled all purpose 1 and 2 gal pots.
