24 hour fl. or 12 hour hps for an auto?

i have 1 auto plant [northern lights blue]. its the first auto plant i have ever grown. its a freebie, so what the hell! what i wanted to know is would it be bettter to keep it under weak , [ 4-40watt flr. tubes], 24 hour light in my veg area. or should i put it under strong, [2-1000watt hps], 12 hour light in my flower room??? its only 1 plant so im not gonna change anything for it. just wondered how it would do best. its about 2 weeks old right now, 4-5 inches tall, 4 sets of nodes. its in the veg room now, 24 hrs. thanks

I'd keep it in the veg I ran my autos at 20/4 and they seemed to respond well later in late flower I went to 18/6 to try and produce more trich production.
