Hey all,

Well we are 30 days into the flowering stage on our first 10 plants. :slide:

We cut out 35 clones from the plants 30 days ago. 2 Died :( but 33 lived. We chose to "experiment" a bit with this session and we double planted each pot. We learned that this strain of plants shows the beginning signs of flowering at about 45 days. We also found out that the plants can very quickly reach about 5 ft in height. This was reached in 60 days. On this round we are going to force flowering at around 24" in height, hoping to keep the plants at around 3 feet total height. Our goal is to be able to determine the optimum conditions for rapidly growing the plant in 120-150 days. We have figured the flowering will take around 80 days, but we are only 30 days into the flowering of the first session.

We are planning on building a growing cabinet with cloning and vegetative on the bottom and flowering on the top (to make watering easier). We will be using 2 White fluorescent tubes and 2 "Grow Light" fluorescent tubes for the cloning and prevegative growth. (This is determined by the stage of the plants in flower. Not an issue with this round as we are "Flowering" in a seperate space right now. The remaining of the Vegetative growth once moved into the flowering are will be covered by a 1000W HPS light utilizing bulbs for Vegatative growth and Flowering.

We already have a ventilation system running into the attic and with 10 plants odor is not yet an issue. We do use some "passive" odor control in the room.

Our soil mixture from the first grow was more or less, use what we had. We bought 1 part Fox Farms Potting Mix and we supplemented that with 1 part Miracle Grow Potting Mix and 1 Part Generic Potting Mix. We did this because it was what we had on hand, but it worked well so we are repeating the recipe.

We used Fox Farms Grow Big to provide the nutrients for the vegetative growth and Tiger Bloom for the Flowering stage. We have also been pretty exact with the amount of water given. We basically water every 48 hrs with 6 cups of water. We alternate watering and add Nutrients to every other watering.

I think that this is pretty much it in a nutshell. We are basing this experiment on what we learned from the previous grow, which at this point looks like we have done ok.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments I would love to hear them.

:cheer:

Now it is time to grow!!

Till next time have fun and pass the bowl.
