4x4, First DWC, Bubbleponics, Charlotte's Web Clones

Topping went well, plants are bouncing back. Honestly not a ton to report. It was easy as hell.
@GreenGoblin22 was over when we topped and he encouraged me to try and make clones from the tops. Our hopes aren’t high but we’re trying. I bought the dome and root stimulator, so if nothing else it will be a great learning experiment.

In other news, @GreenGoblin22 made me 2 stainless steel coils, so I took the top feed pump from the clones whose roots are already in the nutrients, put it in a 40l reservoir, Fed a line to the coils and back into the ressy. So far in 2 hours my ressy temps are down 3 degrees. I call that a win!

Thanks again GG!

About to hit some God Green Crack I grew my last time around...

What are you guys smoking tonight?

Well, tonight I took advantage of a few aspects. My brother was over for dinner and my water level was static, the ph was static but the ppm was dropping; so I used the extra help to change out my ressy’s.

I added some nutes, as you can see my plants are very bright green, not that rich deep green we all love. I bumped the ppm up by about 100 for my Haze plants and doubled it for ya Charlottes Webs (in hydro).

The ph is bang on 5.8, 500 ppm for the smaller plants and 1100 for the largers CW’s.

I also up potted my CW’s in Promix. I have also been having amazing success with my potted CW’s and layers hydrocorn between pot layers. So every time I upsize pots I put a layer of Hydrocorn under the plant. My intention is to give a few extra pockets of air to help the roots. I also drilled out the sides of the pot again to promote air flow. In the past I have had problems developing great roots in promix (which is why I swapped to hydro) but this method has paid off massively.

Lastly I mentioned that @GreenGoblin22 encouraged me to take some clones so you’ll find my dome as well.

I did a res change last night and today my roots are mostly brown.

The plants look great. I’m running Sensizyme which is what I think is making them darker combined with the rest of the nutes. The nutes in the tub match the color of the roots and they only start to get discolor at the water line....

Thoughts?

Below are pics of the roots and plants

My roots got dyed from the nutes as well. If they start feeling slick and your res temps creep up then start to worry more.

Great Advice.

I actually have 3 air pumps (1 sizeable one with 4 outlets, and 2 smaller cheap ones with 2 outlets). Based on your advice I will play around with the set up to see how they work. Maybe running the 4 channel pump into 1 stone in each tank, and using the other two to power the second stone in each.

I would never have thought about keeping them high than the water line, so I appreciate that insight very much.

How are you finding the temp in your tote? Should I be concerned with that at all?
Resevoir temperature should be 62-68f , too cold and it will slow your girls down to nearly a stop, too warm they will die from a lack of disolved oxygen and if they dont they can get stunted from heat as well

Went from Canada into Washington State for Super Bowl (aka the punting contest) with @GreenGoblin22. We stopped at a dispensary on the way down to grab our goodies and settled on Columbian Gold (full Sativa), Trainwreck (hybrid) and a strain I had never heard of called Strawberry cough (indica).

Columbian Gold was amazing, a full energetic high with a real mellow tone. Trainwreck was outdoor grown, and really disappointing, while the Stawberry cough smelled amazing and a very typical indica high.

In a nutshell I need to find some Columbian Gold beans ASAP!

I also came back to my plants, who had taken off quite a bit (root pics) and the Sativas look to be showing me early signs of pistols (pics attached). I’m not 100% certain on the pistols, let me know what you think.

Lastly I topped both Sativas. One top was at the 4th node and the other at the 5th (which I will clip the early nodes off at an older age)

I don't see anything male, but it might be early for me to even tell. Mine took a long time to show.

They look like normal growth sites to me. Mine as a similar age looked pretty similar

I’m betting one more day and I’ll be able to say with certainty which sexes I’m dealing with....

I had trouble focusing on the correct part.. they aren’t the focal point of the photo. Lol

Ressy change tonight, and I have some upgrades that made my life a ton easier...

Also there’s a pic of the cooling coil @GreenGoblin22 made for me. The water cycles from a cooler that’s outside the tent through a closed line and back into the cooler.
