After a few months spent stressed over shortages in mediocre quality bud, I've decided to try to grow my own. A week ago I was very enthusiastic about LEDs, but after an admittedly rushed vetting process, I've decided I may be able to get better results, Watt/output efficacy if I go with a hybrid LED/HPS system.
This is a PoC, kind of an interim grow, that I'll be doing while building my own aeroponics system to grow (tentative count) 2 White Widow and 2 Kali Mist next. If I can shelve off a second smaller growing space, I may buy another lighting set-up and begin the WW/KM project while the experiment outlined below is on-going.
Set-up:
Seeds: Lowryder
Plant count: 6 (I'd be happy to get any tips w/r/t sexing ruderalis hybrids)
Area: Wooden Wardrobe, interior dimensions: 17" x 25" x 5'
*Lighting:
Hybrid LED/HPS
LED: 90W "Enhanced Spectrum" UFO Supernova LED
HPS: 150W Sun System
150W HPS to be used on timer: on 1 of every 3 hours
Stealth Hydro "Deep Water Culture" system SH Hydroponics, Inc.
Deep Water Culture 6 Planter Starter Kit
Nutrients: Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom
Ventilation/Filtration: in design
I'm very new to all this - I crammed over the course of a week with a very busy work schedule so I will be very appreciative of constructive criticism/suggestions.
