Here's an interesting one: Pouch papers. They appear to be regular papers, that gave been glued into a little pouch. It's supposed to keep the tobacco from falling out of the ends. I have two different pack styles. The papers inside are identical as far as I can tell:

Rainbow papers. Any rainbow people around here?

Thank you. It's fun. I have that collection mentality too, so it's not surprising I started.

Here's a couple types I just added to my collection. First, the Holy Rollers:

The outside printing is embossed and a shiny gold. The presentation is pretty good. That little flap at the bottom really seems to do a decent job of keeping it closed, but it wouldn't for long in a pocket. The inside is even better, IMO:

They are uncreased 1-1/4 papers. Nowhere does it say what they are made of, but they are not rice. I suspect that they are therefore regular paper. They are almost translucent. Rolled easy, but thicker papers do.

That joint up there was one of these Holy Rollers. It was a fine paper. Maybe could have been thinner and burned a tad cleaner, but I smoke a lot of doobies and have tried a lot of papers, and I wouldn't be upset if I was stuck with only these.

These next are a perennial favorite: RAWs! Every thread about papers gets to mentioning RAW brand papers. I have several varieties of them of course, but I just found these:

They have an attached stretchy band (not bare rubber, like a really fine pony tail holder) to hold the pack closed and they come with a bunch of crutches:

It looks to me like the crutches and band are attached to a printed sheet of cardboard and that is glued to a regular pack:

It's a clever idea. I hope it was an independent company the came up with the idea and just sold Raw on using it. That way this type of thing could be licensed to all of the paper companies. It's really pretty smart IMO.

I had a lot of ground herb I didn't want to let dry out too fast and go to waste. So I rolled it into a big joint. I think that is as good a reason as any to test another paper.

This time it's Jamaican Papers' 1-1/2 Banana. They are heavy paper and nowhere does it say what they are made of, so I will guess wood. They do taste like banana candy when you lick them and they are a solid yellow.

Easy to roll due to the thick paper, I knew right after I lit it I won't be using these again (on purpose anyway). They burn black and messy. The only saving grace is that the girth of a filled 1-1/2 paper is so big that the sheer volume of herb makes up for it.

Overall, these are a D grade paper. Most places, that's a flunk.

Well, while that joint is certainly all you describe, 35 years ago in my neighborhood an Esmeralda meant a big fat doobie, (also like the one you're holding). Nice job.

I think I have mentioned previously that I collect rolling papers. It is far from the biggest collection or anything, but I enjoy collecting, so as a cannabis smoker, papers seemed an obvious choice.

I started because I found Juicy Jays and wanted to try more of the flavors. Then when I had all of them I could find, I started buying other flavored papers. At some point it got to be about any papers and not just the flavored ones.

Going to be hard to find out. This is an older thread and the guy who started it has not logged in over the past 6 1/2 years. But have gotta say that that there are some good photos showing an excellent collection.

Anyone else remember walking into someone's apartment for a party or small get-together and there would be the large bowl filled with packs and packs of rolling papers. Pick a favorite and roll one up.

Collecting can be very rewarding.

I have these, which are tobacco wraps. They are made from tobacco leaf. I don't like them because they add so much of their own to the bud I'm smoking and that's a personal no-no, but I'm sure you could roll some short but quite nice blunts with these.

I used to like those GoldenWraps but they are SO THICK! Great for learning to roll though.

You need those mythical Cheech and Chong paper(s?) that came with the album and is the size of the album...if they even still exist.
