Aerocloner to outside dirt?

Hello everyone I have about 20 clones in my clonner with roots that are about 12" long and I am out of room in my Deep Water Culture and was wondering,
can I plant the clones directly into the ground ?
what steps should i take to help them from hydroponics to dirt,is their anything special I should treat the dirt with ?
