Not sure what happened...guessing it was a lighting issue?
24 hours of light during the vegetative stage...sun during the day and fluorescent lighting at night.
Flowering for 55 days.
When harvest time came around the nugs were thick/dense. But after drying and curing
I ended up with airy fluffy bud. Two months now and still scratching my head.
Any ideas or suggestions for next time?

I actually have Boveda packs in all my jars and I did do lemon skin in the beginning.
My bud just doesn't have that dense firm consistency.
The smoke is okay but it's missing something.

Looks good to me - did you check trichs to determine maturity? Maybe it could have went longer.

I actually grew four plants and harvest all four at different times, and all were somewhat airy/fluffy.
But from what I read sativa are usually a little fluffy to begin with.
And maturity wise it varied from trichomes being 50% to about 75% amber.
The smoke seems to be okay but it doesn't have that pungent smell.
Then again, the sativa usually doesn't have that strong of a smell.

Oh well, currently I have four new plants at the start of the flowering stage.
My last four were all about 5 feet tall...these are roughly 3 feet tall.
I'll do a little pruning and hopefully I'll get some stronger plants.

Wait what kind of light are you flowering with??

Oh the sun, make sure you're getting a lot of direct sunlight or you will not get very dense buds.

I'm in Northern California, it's late in the season and the weather isn't the warmest...60's during the day.
But I have my plants in a green house so the temp is closer to 75 with decent sun.
Actually these plants are clones off my previous harvest and I'm doing things a little different but I'm not expecting
miracles. First go around I used Fox Farm nutrients and this time I'm going with Advanced Nutrients.
And I must say my plants do look healthier. Time will tell.
