Auto flower pot size

Hi!

I’m about to start another grow in the next week, and will be growing auto flower for the first time. The strain is Zkittlez auto by fast buds.

I used 5 gallon smart pots for my last photoperiod grow in promix HP. This worked beautifully.

I am thinking of going with 3 gallon air pots this time. Does anyone know if 3 gallon is sufficient for this? These plants are expected to be around 18”-24” tall. 5 gallon was more then enough for a 120 day grow on much larger plants. I’d like to not have to saturate so much medium, if I can help it!

I just got 3oz off an 11" tall lowryder2 in a 3 gallon pot..not an airpot,though..
I've always used 3 gallon for my outdoor grows, got between 5-6 oz off 3 to 3.5 foot plants each.
A little easier to move around than 5's.
I think 3 gallon would be plenty big, airpots=even better.

Excellent! 3 gallon it shall be. I’m really excited at watering with less quantity. Handling 4-5 5 gallons is daunting. I appreciate the response!

Would you happen to know if peat is ok for air pots? I assume it would be.

I really don't know that answer- I just use Black Magic potting soil
Someone else may chime in with an answer for you.
