@Emilya Green hi Emilya I'm really needing some help with how to correct this calcium deficiency . And also if you think there is anything else going on that needs addressing at all ? I'm letting the soil dry out between waterings. Ph'ing feed to 6.5 going in. Using a 5 in 1 organic fertiliser which is a total plant food. Ec going in is 1.2-1.4 and ec going out is roughly the same as I get good runoff each watering. Please help thanks should I up the nutrients ec per feed ? Add a calmqg supplement?

Calcium deficiencies occur up top because calcium is a non-mobile element, so this is a magnesium deficiency and Cal mag is definitely called for. I don't see any other problem, the plants look pretty good overall.

The color looks pretty good overall but the existence of the magnesium deficiency makes me wonder if you are giving enough feed overall. I would try the Cal mag for a couple of watering cycles and see what happens.

So what strength calmag should I add to the feed schedule? And BTW thanks for the reply much appreciated :) and what would you increase the inflow overall ec to at this stage ? Thanks again

I have never used EC in a soil grow... but whatever rate you have chosen, it doesn't look like enough. How does what you are giving relate to the 40ml/9l recommended by the manufacturer? I am betting you are giving less than that by looking at your plants.

As far as the calmag goes, this is not a crisis. I would start out at the minimum suggested rate for whichever brand of calmag you have on hand. See what that does before overloading the plant with the cure.

Cool n one last question. Do I need to continue feeding calmag with every feed for the rest of the grow or stop using it once plants are in better shape and just continue with normal fertiliser without added calmag

we will know in a couple of watering cycles, but generally when a plant shows it is not getting enough magnesium it is going to continue with that for the rest of the grow and you need to keep giving a maintenance dosage of calmag, at least every other watering. Until you know, continue everything else as you have been doing and lets see if just changing one thing in the grow, changes the symptoms.

that explains the deficiency then. RO is not necessary in soil. Did you come to soil from the hydro world; it seems you are combining methods?
My tap water is high in sodium apparently 125mg/L and makes up most of my 0.7ec that comes out thr tap . It's why I'm using ro water . When I added recomm3nded dose of the fertiliser I posted above....the ph of the water is 3.7 . Should I adjust th3 pH with pH up like I've been doing ?

Get u some bone meal top dress her good should help a lot

Im no expert... but as suggested above id add some bone meal top dress for slow release.
And give 1ml cal mag per litre for the next 4 or so waters, for fast release.

Since your using r/o water you might want to include a little bit in every water tho, just see how you go!
