Can I germinate auto seeds directly in the ground outdoors?

Temperatures will be above 10°C at night time and average 16°C during the day. I want to germinate the seeds directly in the ground. Is this possible?

No reason you can't, but they'll grow pretty slowly until it warms up a bit.
