I took pictures of the trichomes on my Super Lemon Haze outdoor plant and 2 small Harlequin plants. Do they look ready? The first 4 pics are the Super Lemon Haze. The next 3 are from one Harlequin and the last 3 are from the other Harlequin:

Usually posts dont sit this long without a reply. From what i saw, your lemon & harlequins are about 70-80% cloudy. Are they ready? That depends on the effects you want with the lemon. Full cloudy gives an uplifting high and waiting to get amber trichs will give you a more sedative type of high. Your Harlequins i believe to be CBD. If so, there are people who drop CBD plants earlier than normal to keep THC from forming. I also believe CBD to be the precursor to THC. So the CBD matures 1st, then THC. So given that bit, i would say your Harlequins are almost ready.
I could be wrong. My eyes are failing me nowadays. I thought i saw some clear trichs still in all the photos.

My camera is not the best but I think I'm seeing quite a few clear trichomes still but also several embers. This is my 3rd grow and these plants have been the hardest to tell if they are ready. I've never seen so many clears with ambers in my other grows or is that pretty common?

Not only is every strain different but every pheno within a strain family has the potential to be different.... short answer = genetics

I’ve never used this myself but have been hearing about iPhone app Magnifer that does digital microscope using your phones on board camera, maybe give that a shot.

It's call iphone magnifier? I'll have to try that!
