I was super bummed when i found this. I was on business for three days and this is what happens! I have since lowered my lights, added three fans, and sprayed the tent down with a 3% peroxide spray i bought at Walgreens.
Its hot and dry now. I took down three of them. Two were infected right away, then the third happened the next day, but it had just started. So hopefully it is contained. The three left are of different genetics than the harvested three, so hopefully that is the issue and it is not so much environmental.
So here is the crop!
And here are the babies i have left. I am making a DIY CO2 generator, that will all produce some tasty Meade. Hopefully it helps these girls puff up.
I will definitely make sure to defoliate my next batch of ladies, do avoid this mildew.
Alright i think i have about a week left. I have started flushing, only watering with no nutes, and using about an extra gallon. I water each plant. wait ten mins, and water again, sucking up the excess in a shop vac.
I lowered my lights, it is about 80 degrees F and 50% humidity. I wish i could make it dryer.
I was debating removing some fan leaves, but am not sure i want to stress the plant this late in the game.
I was also curious about timing, flush, and any preparation the day of harvest. I have heard leaving it in darkness for 48 hours before harvest can increase resin. I have also heard that letting the soil dry out almost completely can lend to the drying and curing process.
I toasted it in the oven at 200 degrees F for about 45 mins (decarboxylating).
I ground it up in a magic bullet and added it to a crock pot containing 16 ounces of coconut oil (one jar trader joes) and a gallon of water.
I slow cooked it on low for 24 hours.
strained it. added 1/4 cup lecithin, and let it cool. I then put it in the "00" vegan capsules.
I can take about 7 or 8 of these and not get blasted stoned. I get cotton mouth so i know it is having some effect. I was wondering if this stuff has the "79" essential elements, Rick Simpson claims can be very healthy.
