Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Does anyone know what will happen if i trim plants before i cut them down? I have a plant day/s away from prime trichome development, wondering what would happen if i trimmed it then put it in 24 hours darkness before cutting it down? If anyone has tried this or has reason not to do it or any input please let me know. I am curious cause i have seen cutting some leaves possibly increase resin development, and i am out of smoke.

If you trim to much you could stress them out and it may take longer for them to finish. I usually trim all sunleaves about 2 or 3 weeks before harvest (some ppl say don't trim at all) IMO it helps the smaller underbuds develop more. When i trim i usually don't see any growth for the next day or two cause the plant has been stressed. If you are just days away from harvest i would say just leave it alone and trim up once u cut down.
