Help me with my recipe

I have been reading threads and want to create a good soil for my first grow. For my seedlings I mixed one third spagnum moss. One third perlite and one sixt miracle grow potting soil and one sixth earthworm castings.
I am about ready to build my soil for the veg stage and may leave the plants in it through flowering
I have spagnum moss
Perlite
Foxfarm ocean
Foxfarm happy frog
Oyster shell
Azomite
Epsom salt
Wood Ash Some charred leaves
Organic potting soil with kelp alfalfa meal and earth work castings mixed with peat moss
Also have plain earth work castings from store
I'm not trying to fix too hot since I'm running some landraces lebaneses first

Good start to your soil mix. You need some rock dust in there.

Substitute "glacial rock dust" for the Azomite. IF you already have it ok.

Oyster Shell - what form is it in - flour - crushed etc, how large are the particles.


Whats your Epsom Salt for?

Likely you probably want to add Epsom Salt for the Sulfur. Better source is compost. Malibu Blend is EXCELLENT as is Coast of Main (if you are on the east coast).

Epsom Salt = magnesium sulfate. There will be plenty Mg in your soil and EWC for great plant growth. Best not to add in extra its not required. You can over do Epsom Salt pretty easily. A little goes a LONG way. With a properly mixed soil you wont need this.
