How can I smoke "shake"

Before I left school for the summer I had my friend buy me a dime bag. He had some left over shake that he didn't want so he gave it to me, but I'm not sure how to smoke it. I only have a one-hitter, and I think the pieces will be too small and will just fall through. How can I smoke this shake? I have quite a bit and I don't want it to go to waste.

You can also buy glass or metal screens for your pipe at any headshop if you're still have problems with the shake being sucked through the bowl.

Shake happens to be the one thing I probably use my 1-hitter for the most. Just pack it in real tight and none should get sucked through into your mouth.
