How to ask for help in public

I made my first visit to the local hydro store. Glad I didn't have $2,000 with me probably would have spent it all, kid in a candy shop.

Anyway, my question is what plant or plants are similar enough to Cannibis to be substituted so you can have an intelligent conversation, ask questions and interact without raising eyebrows or anything else. I believe they know why I am there. I just want to be PC and safe.

Never mention anything cannabis related. Buds, flower tops, trics, etc, all taboo terms to use. The shop I use has a sign posted that even if you have a MMJ card if you ask about anything cannabis related you will be escorted out of the store. They know why you are there. 99.9% of their customer base are cannabis growers. Just don't talk about it.

Geez it must be hard for the poor guy that is actually growing tomatoes. I've got to the stage with my local hydro guy now that he knows what strain of plant's i have and he also drops things off for me. (not to my house but close to home) he knew what i was in there for the first time i went in and can answer any question i need. makes it so much easier. but like everyone said tomatoes are the best way. they will know what your talking about as soon as you walk in the door. especially if you are anxious about being in there for the first few times.
