Improvised rain shelter

Rob I built mine a few weeks ago (same location) though I'm right by the ocean and the wind today was brutal. I'm trying to figure out if I got bud rot on mine my question in my post about it.

Let's hope for some sun these next few days. I just had to reinforce my shelter again for the 2nd time. It is almost fully covered now. I really should have just finished the sides and I would have had a greenhouse. I may still do this.

I too found it crazy how they can heal. Though I did have to prune a few smaller ones today that got taken by the wind.
I hear ya. The rain has really sucked. We are supposed to get a couple days of sun. Hopefully that will dry things up a bit. I currently have an industrial fan in my tent trying to hurry the drying along. I hear ya about bud rot. I have found a couple spots that give me reason for concern. Both on branches and bud sites.i will have a more thorough look today. I used a fungicidal spray on a few target spots yesterday . It’s called Defender fungicidal spray. I’m starting to worry that I may have to harvest super early. Damn Vancouver weather

So hey an update. Today I did a good visual inspection. Some buds had to go n some were cutback n sprayed with defender fungicide. I labelled the affected area with duct tape so I can remember to visually inspect ltr. Fan is on full tilt and I will be spraying everything in case I missed anything.
I found out the reason is the nodes. Some have seemed to get mouldy. I removed any other nodes that I thought could be a problem just in case. If I were you I would take a good look around you’re plants nodes

My gf just said to me today I’m getting jealous of you’re plants
Haaa - my wife said "If you spent this much time on renovations!!!!" I said "Sure, but I wouldn't be able to stay stoned all year and since I built it perfect the first time...."

So I did visual inspection today. Did find mould on some buds. It appears that it starts to mould at the nodes. I would definitely suggest a good look in that area.
Trimmed off affected areas and sprayed target area with Defender fungicidal spray. I also left duct tape reminders of where the mouldy areas were for future ease

I forgot. also have an industrial fan running in the tent now to completely dry. This is u TIL the rain starts again. . I will now also give the whole plant a spray with the fungicidal spray just to be safe in case I missed some. Good luck on yours

Lots of rain in the Northwest this year. I'm in Seattle and trying to ward off chopping them for a few weeks.

I concocted this cover (see attached). I clipped it down to the lip of the pot with little spring clamps from Home Depot. It worked pretty good, though I'm sure the plants hate it. I tried something like you have, but wind blew it off.

Will spray with Actinovate today, and cover again tonight, as more rain expected. Plant photos from today.

They are beauties. Good luck!!
The weather here is awful and getting worse. I found Mold in some spots. I had to harvest early. I did today. Man did I not want to but had no choice. Not at all what I wanted but some is better then nothing. I left my one Sativa in the tent. Now that it has more room I was hoping to also get a few more weeks of growing in. Fingers crossed

It's been terrible this year. Last year no rain until October. I looked at some pics of last year, I harvested 2nd week in October. That's not going to happen this year. My Sativa could use another month, sadly that won't happen.

Good luck!

I built a "tunnel" using electrical conduit. Seven hoops over a 12x8ft frame. Using black plastic I was able to force flowering a lot earlier. Now that it's raining at harvest I pulled some clear plastic over the hoops to keep the plants dry while harvesting the tops.

Yup, I'll take a picture and post it in the morning.

Open at both ends of the tunnel, it stays ventilated. I used simple spring clamps to hold the plastic in place. During the force-flowering time using black plastic I would clamp both ends of the tunnel closed to keep all light out. A side benefit of the plastic is it will help keep the garden warmer on cool nights.

Hey thanks. Very nice. Good job . I might do something very similar next year. I was caught with my pants down this year. I don’t have a lot of room in the back yard as I’m in the city. I learned a lot from this grow. I definitely won’t make the same mistakes I made this year. What treatment do you use for WPM? Did you run into any Mold problems? If so what did you use?
Thanks for you’re help btw

No molds issues at all. During flowering when lower leaves started to look spotty I'd snap them off. Also kept all yard debris swept away from the pots. Maybe the tunnel platform being up off the ground helped reduce the risk of mild.

Good luck next season :thumb:

Try some Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide.

They have a similar product in Canada - you will have to look up the active ingredient (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747) a google it for the product sold in Canada. You have it up there. Check out "DOUBLE NICKEL 55 WDG"

Spray on a few times, once in early flower and again 4 weeks later. Light covering is all thats needed.

Its organic in Oregon and should work great. I use it here in Philly but I'm indoors no AC we get high RH every night 95% - dew points for weeks on end in the summer.
We get a lot of rain too.
This stuff works great for PM and molds.

OP your plants look like they had some purplish in some of the flowers. Thats a phytoplasma AKA plant virus. Its spread by leaf-hoppers and other pests. Mainly leaf-hoppers.
