Indoor/Outdoor Lighting During Veg

I got my first baby from the club yesterday. The guy at the club told me to just stick my clone in a 5g bucket and put it outside. I got different advice from the local Growers Warehouse. I was just curious if I moved it inside at night and outside when its sunny if it would shock the plant or damage it?

No it won't shock the plant get some lights and you can keep it inside, average light cycles are 24 lights on/0 lights off, 20/4, 18/6 then there's the gas lamp routine which utlizes 13 hours of light. But sun during day, house at night is ok
