L.A. Confidential - Indoor Soil Grow

Greetings 420magazine community,

I began my third grow December 18th by planting 4 L. A. Confidential seeds by California Bean Bank I had them under a New Wave T5 for about two months and then switched them under a 1000 watt HPS running at 50%. The 4 plants have shown signs of being female through pre-flowering. My plan is to keep the best plant as a mother, flower the rest, and continue to clone and flower off of the mother plant.

Heres a video update i posted earlier today:

I recently built a grow room to house a mother, clones and a clone dome. Here are pictures of the two rooms:

***SHOULD I BEGIN TO FLOWER IN THE ROOM WITH THREE LARGER PLANTS???***

Heres an update on the grow!

I planted 6 clones from the cloning tray to soil on 3/8/13. 5 are now under to T-5 along with some other clippings i cut about a month ago. The mother plant is under a under and has another cfl on the side. That same light is above a clone that was planted into soil on 3/8/13. I took a bunch of clippings from the three other mothers right before i flowered them. They have been in flowering since 3/4/13. There were a couple of leaves on my 3 flowering plants that had some eating away of the leave. I was wondering if that was from too much light exposure? or maybe a lack of nutrients. I haven't used nutes yet but i plan to begin to slowly introduce tiger bloom into the watering soon.

Liked watching your video, looks like those bigger plants are hogging up all the light from the lil ones, can you raise up the smaller plants? Go easy on the bloom booster at first so you don't fry em. Looking fwd. to seeing how the la conf. Turn out i have some la conf. Seedlings going that are shy of a month old, there's a link in my sig. If u want to take a peek

AZmeds, I plan on using only small amounts of bloom booster since the flowering period is only 45-55 days and its already day 8 of flowering. Will it be worth only using the nutes for a couple weeks? or should i just not use them and stick to regular watering? As for lighting, i hve switched the plants around and i think they are all receiving better light now. Im just concered if there will be enough light when the clones start to grow taller.

not sure what you mean? That first pic that has little dead and dried up leaves still hanging on should be taking on and out of the room, pests love attacking the weakest part of the plant. One of the best things I did this round was using compost tea. I got the ingredients for the vortex brewers 5 gallon kit. its a cow based manure. the la conf.'s looked a little whack for a day or so but wow did they show soe love a few days after. I want to try some bat guano tea

Hello all!!

Heres a photo update of the grow.

The 3 LA Cons's are on day 24 of flowering. They have had two doses of tiger bloom so far. I will continue to fertilize until two weeks prior to the projected harvest date.

The other room is making great green progress!! The mother was recently clipped for 6 clones mostly off the top. I have an additional 16 clones in the room as well. 7 of them have been in there for 17 days. 5 of the 7 have been topped. I plan on letting them grow tall and then putting them in the flowering room as soon as the current plants finish budding.

In general everything is going really smooth. Ive been spending about 6-10 hours a week, sometimes more, on the grow. The first harvest is about one month away and I CANT WAIT!!! :thumb:

slingblade, i ended up taking that weak clone out to avoid any pests. The L.A. cons are already very disease and bug resistance and I would not want to jeopordize my entire grow becuase of one clone. Thanks for the pointer! :Namaste:

LaConGrower,
I'm sorry I sub'd up on this journal but I am guessing I forgot to enable the email updates or something cause I never got any? I have been so busy I forgot where to look. Sorry bro. The plants look good bro. the two I have that were started from regular seeds are looking like they will both be male. If they are I will seperate them and one of my OG's and let them get it on. Just wondering with the one male being so much bigger if thats a trait I want over the smaller one? The big plant came from a seed that was at least twice the size of the other seed.
I'll be checking back more often
+Reps bud

Glad to hear your making good use of the males. I unfortunately didn't get one male out of the four seeds I planted. As for size, I would say it depends on your future grow,2 right? What is the size of the plant you are breeding with? Do you want bigger plants or smaller?

Looking good man, tops of you lil guys look good, you got the right idea and bud sites are looking tight for 24 days : )

Welcome to the 420 fam and hoping to see more green soon my man! :goodjob:

Hey JLT!

Thanks for the positive feedback! Clones are growing real quick. I was out of town for the weekend and the topped ones already stretched approx 2-3 inches. I have to restructure the mother/veg room sooner than I expected to let the little ones grow taller.:ganjamon:

OHH do i know what your saying haha just overnight i can see my girls grow half a foot somedays haha, i had to redo my veg room so i can fit more in there lol now i have extra space haha

How did this grow turn out?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info!
