Lamp question

I have an aircooled light system, I wanted to know what H.I.D stands for? Could i use an HPS bulb on it? Im kinda tripin if H.I.D is another word for the M.H bulbs

HID is an acronym for High Intensity Discharge. You can have either HPS or MH HID lamps.

Mh stands for Metal Halide, Hps stand for high pressure sodium. These are HID lights. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. there are a number of different types of HIDs like xeon, mercury vapor and blah blah but the ones for growing are mh and hps.
