No, all the heat is dissipated in the grow space. I'd only keep about 45W of heat out of the space by mounting the drivers outside. It wasn't worth it to me, when my extraction fan changes the air in the grow space at least three times per minute.

So there are no fans cooling your boards?.

There are no boards, and no fans. I suppose you could call the COB (Circuit On Board) a board of very tightly packed LEDs, but then so are the multi-wavelength LEDs used in the Quantums.

I think it's the equivalent of a Timber Redwood VS ($799 USD / $1065 CAD + shipping + taxes) or two HLG 260W QB V2 LED Kits ($660 USD / $880 CAD + shipping + taxes ). With the exchange rate, shipping, taxes, and custom's clearance we can count on double the US price in Canadian funds for anything we import from the USA. This means I saved $865.78 over the Timber, or $587.78 over the HLG fixtures / kits.

I use luminus cxm22, ( migro cobs are 32mm) 175 watts, first 4 hours, then 225 watts 4hours, then back down to 175 for last 4 hours, these are 12/12 from seed, I did an experiment with the bigger one that was in Solo, and i transplanted at day 28, and got mega growth since tran

splant. as you can see, the solos are still smallish,lol.

Two HLG 260’s would be my pick to flower 4x4. Thats what I’m using and am very pleased. No heat, super bright and $330. apiece USD. Start with one if youre unsure and the first time you turn it on and see the difference between it and blurple light you will see why they can hardly keep them in stock. When you say cob drivers are outside of tent...
This is like the "ballast"?

So your not using one of the pre made board type lights with fans built in right. Im guessing those have all components in the light..?

Each Driver powers two 100 watt COB's. Similar to how Quantum boards are powered.The Cords are long enough so that the drivers can be outside the tent. They can get hot to the touch so it makes a difference. No fans. Just big heat sinks using only convection cooling. No moving parts.
