lighting

It shouldn't kill them. The lack of ventilation is more of a concern than the lights being off for 24 hours.

But being an Auto, there's no photoperiod to mess up, and if you're only doing it once, you shouldn't really notice a drastic reduction in yield or anything like that.

Make sure the soil is NOT WET! When you go for this 24 hours of darkness, you want the soil as dry as possible, otherwise you'll run the risk of mold growing on the soil, which can transfer to your buds or leaves later on.

i think you misunderstood me i am not worried about leaving the lights off
i am worried about i want my autos to stop growing vertical by them selves,
i dont want to have to start to feed them tiger bloom to force them into buding, but
if i let them go, they are already 2ft 10inches almost 3ft, they are on there 6th wk,
and they are about 4 inches from the light, i was wondering if the plants start to lean on
the light will it affect my plants, i have a 400 watt hps cool tube light assy with
a fan, i could leave my hand on the light glass without burning my hand or warming it up,
please help
thanks
