Hello to all,

I am new to forum, 68 years of age and an old leather lung. Currently attempting my first grow in nearly 30 years with seeds of White Widow and Wonder Woman. Seeds have now sprouted and are in various stages of growth. Approaching 3 weeks this weekend. Is there a stage when it is best to move from sprout bed to grow bed? Advice is welcome.

Good morning @sigterry and welcome to the forum.

If you are presently in the seedling stage, all of your girls must be in individual pots by now? You hear the terms "veg" and "flower" tossed around quite a bit now that you're here. Basically veg is the stage of growth. You can keep your plants in veg mode for as long as you want under the correct lighting. Basically most of the Growers here use either the Sun or their lighting schedules to control their plants. Unless your girls are all Auto, they will stay in veg mode as long as you keep your lighting between 18/6 hours sun to darkness to 24/0 light/dark. When do you switch your timer over to 12/12, overall vigorous growth will stop and your girls will transition into flower mode. This is when your girls will start to stretch in the vertical Direction and create your flowers which then turn to buds.

So tell us a little bit about your setup so we know what you're dealing with, lighting, soil, pot type and size Etc ....... Will be able to help you a little bit further if we know what you're up to!

Generally, most use a solo cup at the seedling/clone stage. This will be fine up til the girls are a month old, then they should go into something larger, but not too huge as you still want your girls to try (unless autos). By the time they flower, depending on your strain..... you should have your girls (in my opinion) a minimum 4-5 gallon pot. When transitioning your girls from veg to flower, make sure that they are in their final pot size, two weeks before the flip. This will minimize stress on your plants going into flower. If you are going to stress your plans at all, do everything you need to in veg and give them some time to recover before you flip them.

Hi and welcome to the 420 magazine. You have some good seeds going. Start a journal and let us join in on the grow. No need to be a fancy journal, but it is necessary to get help if needed :)

Just read your plant abuse chart in your sig AB, great stuff in there!
