Plants are plants, cannabis species differs by its medicinal value. A plant could not grow without some sort of platform with pigments to attract photons and produce sugars to survive.
With no leaves ( at all ), the plant will have to grow them and begin photosynthesis, or it will have to consume its already stored up sugars (cellulose) until it dies. Either way, leaves are the solar panels that allow the organism to feed. So the idea is rather non-nonsensical.

Do you mean no true leaves? I've had one like that, it only grew the seed leaves or cotyledons, never got any bigger or anything. I pulled it after about a month figured it had a birth/genetic defect.
