Optimal soil for starting seeds

For this grow I'm planning on using two different types of soil mixes combined, plus some perlite.

The one soil mix has an NPK of 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 and is made using compost and worm castings. The other soil mix is made using mycorrhizae and doesn't have any NPK factor. Should I just use the latter soil or would the compost mix be beneficial?

I'm going to assume that adding perlite to a substrate wouldn't be good for little baby roots to grow through?

Lots of users sprouting in straight pearlite then transplanting after a week or 2 of solid growth. I'm a fan of mycorrhizal fungi. Compost mix can be too hot for seedlings imo. Your seedlings won't need any npk ratio to get going. Keep it simple. Rock wool, or riot cube are great choices also
