Starfighter x FPPOG Clones Using Air Pots

DAY 19
So apparently I can’t post certain brands on here or pics of them.
In the process I went and got the HMsp3000, the other light just wasn’t cutting it (perfect for a 2x4) to fill all the space in the new 5x5. I have both running and I can see the difference all ready.
there was some issues again with the over Fertilizing. I’ve been keeping the ppm at 840 and they seem to be liking it bette. I will adjust accordingly by looking at them closely. Running just straight ROH2O for 24 hrs seems to do the trick.
I really need to get a irrigation system in place, hand feeding is becoming a pain in the ass..‍♂️

Happy looking girls. May I ask why you wrapped those air pots in plastic wrap? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?
I wrapped them to retain moisture. Otherwise it’s 2x the watering. I will be removing the plastic last 3 weeks of flower. I can already see roots at every hole. I will post pics if that later

Plants are coming along nice now.
I have the same routine of nutrients going still and keeping the PPM @ 840-850 with a PH of 6.0
Their not stretching as much now and buds are starting to fill between nodes so I think I will be OK with the height light. I got 6-8” more of head clearance.
Crystals are really starting to fill in and smell is amazing up close.
With both fans running at 60-70% the humidity and temperature are lights on 76-78*F RH 56% lights off 68*F RH 55-60%. I’ve had to keep a heater fan outside the tent to keep the temperatures up above 65*f when lights are off, it’s because of being in the basement . Helps and since I put it plants look more alive during lights off!

Day 28
Ladies are Looking real good.
Bud size is increasing daily and water intake has increased. I’m feeding them solution about 1.5l/day. I’ve had to flush them once on day 25 with straight ROH2O and they look quite happy the next day.
Crystals have been caking substantially and now I know why it’s called the “Starfighter OG”. The smell is beautiful and the the fans are doing a good job with the smell and humidity (50-60%).

Day 33
This week has been going fairly good with the plants.
On day 30 I took out “AN big bud”out of the solution mix. I also flushed them 2times this week day 31-32 before the lights off. They were showing some nutrient over fertilizing because most of the fan leaf tips were hooked, especially in the lower branches. Water uptake has been increasing daily so now I’m making the ppm at 700-740 and giving them about 2l/day of solution mix.
they seem to have recovered nicely and the smell is getting stronger and stronger and so are the trichomes.
some hairs are also turning orange on the bud tips.
some differences I have also noticed on the buds is that the plants under the sp3000 the buds look bigger compared to the other. Leaning forward to getting another one after this run and using the COB fixture as a veg light.

Day 37
Did a water change and I checked the ppm on the runoff and it was way to high (ppm 2200). Upon further inspection I noticed a couple plants in the back there were 2 bottom fan leaves yellow.
doing another flush on all of them and I’ll keep checking the runoff until it’s in the ppm700 range.

Day 41
It was a bit of a struggle getting the ppm down to 700 all of them together at once. between constant watering with ROh20 (ph 5.8-6.2). Not having a drain table has made it a nightmare collecting the runoff from the single round plant trays under the pots.
another lesson learned and another piece of equipment I need to get..
Today they are all finally sitting at 700-730 ppm runoff and looking much better. I’m only going to be feeding them nutrient solution 500ppm/ph6.0 tonight and see what the runoff ppm does. I’m giving them 1.5l/each.
Running coco is amazing and I think more forgiving than DWC. it’s a lot of work though, with the watering, so I will be getting a drip system for the next run 100%..

Day 44
Since I’ve been using a room heater during lights off to keep the temperature up inside the tent. there’s was a misfortunate incident yesterday where I forgot to turn off the heater.
By the time I noticed, the lights had already been on for 3hrs. The temperature inside the tent was at 87*F.
today I noticed one of the leafs was twisted up and turning copper.
470D706F-3019-4551-824F-6C71983B58E9.jpeg

I think this could have been some heat stress or nutrient burn. I will keep a close eye on this and do some more research on it. The colour purple is also showing but that’s the FTP genes showing..
from checking on the trichomes the heads are stating to are swollen and I’d say about 30-50% of them are looking milky. I will try to get a better close up shot next time!
time is ticking and they should have about 12-18 days left.

Day 47
The girls are doing much better now.:)
I think it was some nutrient lock up because of to much nitrogen. I raised the PH when I got the runoff PPM down to 400-500. Started feeding them solution at 600/700/850 gradually and checking the runoff ppm after. Today the runoff from the 850 was down in the 600-650 range. So I fed them a nutrient solution today at 950.
Only got about 2 more weeks left of flower and they still look like their packing on weight. Aside from some of the older fan leaves on 3 of the 6 being shrivelled up from nutrient burn the buds are looking fire

Yeah after 1 grow of hand watering 9 plants I was done with it. I love my drip system now.

day 51
Everything is looking good.
finally have the ppm under control. The 900-930 range is pretty consistent now with the runoff. The effected older leaves are visually starting to show now. I’ve been cutting back most of the affected growth and also been doing some pruning of leaves opening them up for more air circulation. RH has been steady in the 40-50% range and the PH in the solution has been kept at 6.2 with the ppm from 900-930.
can’t wait for the harvesting to begin.

DAY 57
Ladies are doing great. Everything has been pretty much the same with the nutrients till today. Runoff has been pretty consistent and the buds have developed into some fatty dense nugs
Today I set back the ppm to 680 in the solution and I’m just giving it AN iguana bloom/ancient earth/CalMagxtra xtra/sensysim. Reason being Is I seen the first set of amber trichomes. Their on their last week and I will slowly start flushing them until day 60. I’m going to be using the AN flawless finish.
watering them had been pretty consistent and can’t wait for the final results!

Day 60
Ladies are almost ready to go. Only 4 more days left.
Since I’ve been giving them only AN flawless finish(ppm 110)/ CalMagxtra (ppm220) runoff has been keeping steady in the 450-550 range. Lots of yellowing showing in the oldest fan leafs and buds have been fattening up. Trichomes are pretty much milky and more amber is showing on all the ladies. Looking amazing under the 120x glass!

Couldn’t get around to transplant them between packing and moving and let’s not forget work...
Got around changing the light and checking and keeping a close eye on the roots, they look prime and not root bound. Hopefully tomorrow I have time to transplant them.
They are filing in nicely though and will get them into flower on the 26th.
As far as the tmlapy lights, the plants seem to love it. I have it set to 18” from canopy on veg mode and it seems to fill out the tent pretty nicely. The temperature at the top of canopy for the last 3 days has maintained in the 79*F-81*F with the lights on.
Below canopy the temperature is hovering around 73*F RH40-50% lights on.
when the lights are off it’s between 67-72*F RH 40-55%
Same formula and about 750ml /day .
Looking forward and excited for the blooming to start!
