Topdressing in Autopots: Does it work?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of shelling out a couple hundred bucks to set up an autopot system. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience doing topdressing in them? They are a bottom feed system... what if I were to manually water in the topdressings a couple of times? Would the bottom feed work ok doing that? Anyone have any experience doing this? Thanks!

Not sure but I do know @bobrown14 runs them in a big way.
